ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif said Thursday that negotiations between the Afghan government and the Afghan Taliban would be a dialogue between the two "political forces" that Islamabad
Speaking at a seminar on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the minister confirmed that there is no military solution to the Afghan issue, since the Taliban are a political force in Afghanistan.
He further interests of the United States were not above the interests of Pakistan and added that he believes that Pakistan will soon exit the situation of uncertainty.
"Today the whole nation reaps what General Musharraf sowed, because of this we face difficulties, but we will not sacrifice our interests to safeguard America's interests in any case."
Speaking of India, the minister said that such that the US should not insist on Pakistani-Indian negotiations, but before Washington must balance its policy in South Asia.
He further said that he saw people who think of their institutional or personal interests as national interests.
"This practice should be stopped," Asif said, adding that national interests are primarily interests.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs at the post on social networks also supported the peace initiative of President Ashraf Ghani.
