Branches of Biology and their Definition
Biology has following branches:
It is the study of form and structure of an organism. It has two types
- i) External morphology is the study of external parts.
- ii) Internal morphology is the study of internal parts. It is also called anatomy.
It is study of tissues with microscope.
It is the study of structure and function of cells.
It is the study of different parts of organism.
It is the study of relationship between organism and their environment. It is also called environmental biology.
It is the study of classification and naming of living things.
It is study of all changes from zygote to organisms is born or hatched.
It is the study of genes and transfer of characters from parents to offspring.
It is the study of fossils. It has two types:
- i) Palaeo-botany is the study of fossils of plants.
- ii) Palaeo-zoology is the study of fossils of animals.
Fossils are the dead remains of organisms preserved in rocks.
It is the study of chemical reactions taking place in living things.
It is the study of practical application of organism for the welfare of mankind.
Note: It is known that for employers the form for which a student in a Ukrainian university was trained does not have much significance. Therefore, whether full-time, part-time or evening form – an employee will still teach professional moments. And although theoretically shod better, students in the evening or correspondence departments may have advantages over the employer and employment. And all because most of these students have work experience and knowledge of work discipline, order. Therefore, the main plus of correspondence education is the possibility of combining studies with work. It can be graduates of technical schools, and recent schoolchildren, and those who failed to enter the full-time department, and people who are already over 30, and army men … The graduates of technical schools have benefits and advantages over other students, if they come on already existing specialty, or similar. In addition, the term of instruction is reduced, and is about 3.5 years.
