ECP announces verdict on objections over delimitation in Shikarpur | Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: The Electoral Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced on Friday its verdict, reserved on the eve, about objections to the delimitation of electoral districts in the Shikarpur district
] The Commission agreed with the objection to the shift of the Patwara Odha circle from PS-7 to PS-9.
On the other hand, the objections to delimitation in PS-7, PS-8 and PS-9 were rejected by the commission.
The verdict on objections to electoral districts in Shikarpur was reserved at a hearing held the day before, and in relation to Kasur declared Punjab
ECP received a total of 706 objections from Punjab and Islamabad, 284 from Sindh, 104 from Balochistan and 192 from Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The hearing on objections began on April 4 and will continue until the end of the month.
. Speaking about the raised objections concerning the delimitation of the new electoral districts, ECP representative Harun Shinwari had earlier stated that efforts were being made to create the problem.
"Those who object to the delimitation of the new electoral districts should have a personal problem," he said.
