FATA students protest against FDA, biased police behaviour | Pakistan
PESHAWAR: Students from federally administered tribal areas (FATA) in Peshawar on Monday organized a protest against the FATA Development Authority (FDA) and the biased behavior of police officers.
A rally of the FATA student organization went outside the Governor's House to write down its protest against Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and the FDA after they refused to accept the demands of the protesting students.
The list of requirements of the organization includes the use of funds for the training of students studying through the FDA.
After five protesting students were arrested, a demonstration against the prejudiced conduct of the provincial police
"Police forces are being used against us," said Shaukat Aziz, president of the FATA Student Organization. "The General Police Inspector should send the police to protect us, and not use force against us."
The protest students also demanded that the authorities pay attention to corruption in the FATA Development Office,
