Referring to a dinner organized by the Balochistan Bar Association, the chief justice said that suo motu notices should have been accepted for petitions that were not filed by public figures.
No petition concerning fundamental rights was filed from Balochistan before that date, "he said. "And to fill this void, it was necessary to take suo motu actions."
Judge Nisar noted that all such notifications were taken in relation to health, education, nutrition and other essentials.
All the measures I have taken have been taken in good faith, I have a connection with Baluchistan, "he said, adding that before finding an opinion, one should know the facts.
"We will not tolerate any negligence in granting rights to people and performing duties," said the Chief Justice.
