Muscles Attached to the Skeleton

 

Attachment of Muscles:

 

  1. i) Muscles are attached to bones at origin and insertion.

 

  1. ii) One end of muscles are attached to an immovable and rigid bones is known as origin.

 

  1. i) Muscles may have more than one origin.

 

  1. ii) Other end of muscles is attached to a moveable bone known as insertion.

 

iii) Muscles may attach directly to bones or by means of tough, whitish cords of fibrous material called tendons.

 

  1. iv) Muscles can contract and relax but cannot expand.

 

Antagonistic arrangement of muscles:

 

To move a bone to and fro, two sets of muscles work. When one set contracts, it moves the bone in one direction, and when the other set contracts, it moves the bone in the opposite direction. These two sets of muscles are antagonistic to each other and this movement of muscles is known as antagonistic movement of muscles.

 

Note: Now a little about the negative aspects of this form of study: While studying at the correspondence school, you will not be able to apply for a postponement from military service; On the learning process you will have much less time and effort than the full-time students. After all, you will work, which means that the basic training is lecturing and homework; It will not be so bright on the events of student life. But this can be compensated if your group, in which you will study, is friendly and organized; Here, perhaps, and all comparison. Think, of course, yourself. But high school graduates usually choose, of course, a full-time course of study. English is currently the most popular language in the world. Practically anywhere in the world you will meet quite a lot of people speaking this language. Learning English does not take a long time, but only if you are determined. Diligence and work – this is the main slogan of studying any foreign language. There are no such people who are not able to master a foreign language, the main desire of a person.
