PM Abbasi chairs federal cabinet meeting | Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Hagan Abbasi held a meeting of the Federal Cabinet of Ministers on Tuesday.
Sources said that the Cabinet had discussed the ten agenda items of the meeting. The agenda included the signing of the MoU between the State Bank and the National Bank of Belgium.
Earlier on Monday, at a special cabinet meeting called for consideration, the current situation related to the recent Indian atrocities and killings in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, was it was decided that Pakistan would send special ambassadors to selected capitals to inform the international community about human rights violations committed by the Indian state in Kashmir.
The Cabinet of Ministers, in its approved decision, strongly condemned the brutal and discriminatory use of force by the Indian occupying forces, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 20 innocent Kashmiris in Shopain and Anantnagh in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir
The Cabinet of Ministers announced that on April 6, 2018, brothers and sisters against Indian cruelties will be regarded as the Day of Solidarity in Kashmir in support of our Kashmiris.
He also confirmed the Prime Minister's request to the UN Secretary-General to appoint a Special Envoy for Jammu and Kashmir with a mandate stemming from the unfulfilled resolutions of the UN Security Council.
The Cabinet strongly condemned the draconian laws, including POTA, TADA, PSA and AFSPA, imposed by India in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He further stressed that the deteriorating situation in the IOK and the Indian escalation at the Working Line and in the LoC are an outbreak and a threat to peace and tranquility in the region.
