PML-N backed Yasir Zafar Sindhu wins PP-30 Sargodha by-polls: unofficial results | Pakistan
SARGODHA: Pakistan Muslim Naga-Navas (PML-N) supported independent candidate Yasir Zafar Sindhu won polls in Punjab constituency PP-30 Sargodha, unofficial and unconfirmed results from all 137 polling stations , proposed.
Sindhu summarized 42,736 votes. It was followed by the candidate from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sajid Mehmud, who received 23,586 votes. Tahir Sindu
"Dedicated victory to Nawaz Sharif"
Speaking to the media after winning the polls, Yasir Zafar Sindhu said that PML-N has a mandate, and he won by the grace of the Almighty.
He said that every worker made efforts, as if he himself disputed the by-election.
The victorious candidate said that he dedicates his victory to Navas Sharif and decided to retain his seat in the next general election
Maryam welcomes supporters
Thanking the Almighty after her supporter-candidate won the polls, Maryam Nawaz said that "the historical victory of PML-N can not be stopped, despite having snatched up its electoral symbol."
She congratulated the supporters of PML-N on winning the electoral district of PP-30 Sargodha
In the constituency, 137 polling stations were established, including 16 polling stations councils of trade unions Tehil Kot Momin and Tehil Bkhvala.
Rangers and police personnel
Of the 1,773,912 registered voters in the constituency, 75,776 were women.
Procedures for polling early in the day, with two SPs, five DSPs, seven inspectors and thousands of staff deployed to ensure a smooth vote.
The Armed Forces personnel were also on standby.
Yasir Zafar Sindhu, supported by PML-N, was an independent candidate. His elective symbol was a van.
Rao Sajid Mehmud recently joined the PTI after the departure from Jamiat Ulema of Islam Fazl (JUI-F).
