"Time will tell which school of thought will win," he said during a speech at a press conference here. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Friday that the ruling Pakistan Muslim Nawaz league is divided between those who want a conflict between institutions and those who want to avoid it.
"Time will tell which school of thought will win," he said, speaking at a press conference here.
The comments of the PTI leader came in response to repeated statements by PML-N that the former head of the Nawaz Sharif party has been disqualified by the Supreme Court.
Nawaz was disqualified as head of the party after the Supreme Court on Wednesday announced his verdict on motions challenging the Law on the Election of 2017, ruling that a person deprived of responsibility under articles 62 and 63 can not act in as head of a political party
Nawaz at a party meeting last Tuesday said that such decisions were not even made during the dictators' stay. He added that at present there are no dictators in the country, but the decisions taken were similar to those that were made during dictatorships.
Commenting on the party's plans for the Senate elections on Saturday, Kureshi said that the PTI is in consultation with various parties.
The leader of the PTI said that the party expects to win six seats in the Senate from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one of the Punjab.
"We nominated candidates, referring to land realities," he said.
