Note: Moreover, most universities give the opportunity for undergraduate students to decide on a specialty only at the second or even the third year of training. As a rule, yesterday’s school graduates are not always sure what kind of specialty they want to receive, so they have the opportunity to take different subjects and to think what exactly they are interested in, choosing a specific specialty later. Load. Having visited the orientation a few days before the beginning of the studies, I learned that my university has full-time studies for a master’s studentrequires only 9 credits (3 pairs) per week. It seemed insanely easy, especially since at home I had to walk for 3 couples every day 5 times a week. And, looking at the list of suggested pairs, I signed up for five. Seeing this, my advisor (in American universities, every student has an “adviser” – a teacher who helps choose subjects suitable to the interests and goals of the student) took her head and said that I urgently refused at least one course, and better from two, because this is a huge load, which in the first semester will not be under force, especially to a foreign student. As a result, I took four courses, and how I regretted that I did not take three … Forget about studying “from session to session”, in America it is necessary to study constantly. For each pair it was necessary to read a ton of literature, when they gave an article of pages for 30, I was happy, that’s lucky. Usually it was necessary to read at least half a book, or even a whole book every week for each theoretical pair. And still it was necessary to write a lot of works, usually 3-4 works for each pair, which leads to the next item.
