Rabbani ignored violations of Constitution by Nawaz: Rabbani | Pakistan
QUETTA: The co-chairman of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Asif Ali Zardari, sharply criticized party member and Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani, said Rabbani ignored the constitutional violations of Nawaz Sharif for the last three years.
Speaking to the media in Quetta, where he met with Abdul Kudos Bisenjo, the chief minister of Baluchistan, Zardari said that he did not want the Senate Parliament Speaker Rabbani not to address the PPP reservations to the 18th Amendment.
"He [Rabbani] ignored Nawaz's violations of the Constitution," he said, "and this may be the reason that Nawaz seems to be close to the current Chairman of the Senate.
When answering the question about the establishment of an alliance with the rival Pakistan, Terik-e-Insaf, Zardari said that the policy conducts such tests and that "the test has just begun."
Balochistan SM Bizen Joe told reporters that he asked the chairman of the PPP to support the candidate from Balochistan as the new chairman of the Senate. Zardari answered that the party will hold consultations on this issue, but the final decision will be made by the party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Interior Minister Auchan Iqbal, commenting on Bizhenho's meetings with Imran Khan and Zardari, said it was a good sign.
"Imran passed the Zardari through the BC Baluchistan to the senators of his party, which makes the game very clear," Iqbal said.
