Raging fire that ravaged Karachi City Court’s property room doused | Pakistan
KARACHI: The flames that raged here in the City Court's property room on Tuesday evening, for about four hours, were kept after fire trucks from around the city were called on an emergency basis.
Numerous explosions were also heard in the court where objects were usually found, including explosives – seized from arrested suspects, as the fire spread outside, calling for a detachment to destroy the bomb.
While the cooling process is currently underway, it turned out that part of the roof of the provable room collapsed.
After the incident, the Police Inspector General (IGP) that there was no officer in the building when the flames flashed.
However, with regard to understanding what content of the room was destroyed in the fire and which could be saved, Khawaja said that
The High Police officer noted that the walls of the room are strong.
For the first time the outbreak broke out around 3 am, and then quickly spread out. Firefighting officials who said that the teams were sent to the scene immediately after the emergency call could not keep the fire for several hours.
At the reporting time, a short circuit is considered to be the cause of the fire.
Shiraz Nazir, the senior superintendent of the police (GPPU) for the city, told the media that the area adjacent to the police station of the city court and the material room does not have a closed-circuit television (CCTV) , thereby making the definition of the cause of the fire more difficult.
However, Nazier said that CCTV cameras inside the court are being checked to see if there can be any materials that can help
Fear spread all over the area , when residents were awakened by intermittent explosions during the night.
Preliminary reports showed that officials of the emergency response team said that before the flames grew.
