Auxins and What Do They Do

Auxins are plants hormones. Geotropism and phototropism are caused by unequal growth of plant parts and controlled by auxins.

Effect on phototropism:

From shoot, auxins pass down to the growing region specially the region of cell elongation to stimulate the growth. So shoots grow upward and show positive phototropic response.

Effect on geotropism:

The increased concentration of auxins in lower side of root results in movement of root towards force of gravity. So roots grow in earth and show positive geotropic response.

Students appear in the university only during sessions, and the number of hours they have is very small. But this does not mean that you can study only during sessions: during the semester, correspondence students should independently do and hand over to the teachers written works in all subjects – control, abstracts, independent research and so on. Once a year (most often from the second year), the course work is also given. Work on it is often completely independent.
