LAHOR: A woman gave birth in the bathroom of her residence after she was denied entry by health doctors on duty (19459010)
A woman, the worker's wife, was taken to the Health Center rural residents (RHC) in Rheinwynd after she began to experience labor pains.
However, the staff at the medical facility refused to recognize her because of a lack of funds. "They said that we took her home and brought her after 8:00 tomorrow," the relative said in an interview with Geo News.
After this, the woman returned home, where she gave birth in the bathroom.
The child was ill shortly after birth, and the family had to bring him back to the center.
The woman's relatives protested and demanded that the medical center be closed if he can not provide medical care to the poor.
Last year in October, a woman was forced to give birth outside the premises of the Ganga-Ram hospital in Lahore after being allegedly denied entry by a medical superintendent.
The woman was transferred to the ward, but by that time she had given birth to a boy.
Her family members claimed that the medical superintendent of the hospital did not allow her to be admitted due to a lack of beds and staff.
